Touch

Texture.
Like any of the senses, touch allows us to see deeper into our surroundings. Texture brings a transparent pop of colour. Our eyes recognize the movement from light to dark. A room without it feels flat and empty. Layering texture invites you to look around touch and admire. Even in a well tended garden  has levels of texture. It helps the eye distinguish shape and depth.

So on the quest of creating a full design. I have been searching for the perfect medium to build my projects. Tile, wallpaper and fabric. Inexpensive to expensive, light or dark. It feels a bit daunting when your in the midst of it. One question keeps going thought your mind. Does it all go together? I ask myself. You can really get tangled in it. Most don't enjoy sensory overload. So keeping it simple is a great guideline. Take it slow. Add great textures over time find the perfect tile or fabric. Layer with care.

Can you believe this is tile?
Although the dusting alone would be a full time job. Think of how fabulous this would be in the right setting?
